BREAKING: Flynn Lawyers Just Met With Mueller To Work Out Plea Deal
In a stunning new development on the Russia investigation, lawyers representing former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn met on Monday with special counsel Robert Mueller’s team in the latest sign that the two sides are working on a plea deal, ABC News reports.
We reported last month that Flynn’s legal team had stopped sharing information about the probe with Trump’s attorneys.
Speculation about Flynn cooperating with Mueller’s investigation spiked last month when the special counsel indicted Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort on several charges, including money laundering. There have also been reports that Flynn is concerned about his son, Michael Flynn Jr., being in legal jeopardy thanks to his actions in the 2016 presidential campaign.
President Trump this morning fired off a tweet attacking the media as “fake news” over their Russia coverage.
