Mike Pence Tries To Justify Trump’s Gaffes, Says Something So Dumb It Borders On Parody

We’re in a campaign season where voters have a choice between the first female presidential candidate from a major party in the nation history. One who has been a First Lady, a Senator and a Secretary Of State. On the other side, a reality TV joke, who knows little, but promises much, and surrounds himself with shady operators and absolute dull wits, like Katrina Pierson and Rudy Giuliani.

Seriously, every time Pierson and Giuliani opens their mouths, you can literally see brain cells evaporating. Sadly they are still smarter than Trump.

But while Trump is stuck on stupid, saying things that will sink his campaign, and likely drag the down ballot contests down with him, his VP running mate, Mike Pence, has been trying to clean up after him. However, that has proven to be an insurmountable task. And even kids know it.

During a campaign event in North Carolina, Pence had a cringeworthy moment when a child pointed out his obvious role as Donald Trump’s damage control.

“I’ve been watching the news lately, and I’ve been noticing that you’ve been kind of softening up on Mr. Trump’s policies and words,” 11-year-old Matthew Stricker, told Pence. “Is this going to be your role in the administration?”

Pence answered: “What I’ve learned, Matthew—and you’ll learn it when you’re governor of North Carolina,” as the crowd giggled, “is sometimes things don’t always come out like you mean, right? And Donald Trump and I are absolutely determined to work together.”

Watch the moment Matthew puts Gov Mike Pence on the spot with his question about Donald Trump:

Trump has boasted that he has the best people around him. Well, if these people are the best he can find, there’s nothing about his judgment that should give anyone any sense of confidence that should he make it to the White House, he would surround himself with trustworthy or knowledgeable people.
