Another Charity Just Canceled Event At Trump’s Mar-A-Lago
Donald Trump’s unpopularity as president is bad for his business. On Saturday another charity canceled an event at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, making them the seventh charity to do so.
The Preservation Foundation announced on Facebook on Saturday that it had pulled its annual dinner dance event at Trump’s Florida resort.
“Given the current environment surrounding Mar-a-Lago, we have made the decision to move our annual dinner dance,” the group wrote.
The local nonprofit is “dedicated to protecting and celebrating the unique architectural and cultural heritage of Palm Beach,” the organization said in the statement.
The Palm Beach charity joins other groups who have all pulled their event from the Mar-a-Lago resort. These charities include: The American Friends of Magen David, the American Cancer Society and the Cleveland Clinic.
The group ultimately canceled after Trump blamed “both sides” for violence at the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville.
