The Senate Intelligence Committee Just Subpoenaed Michael Flynn. Trump Livid
The Senate intelligence committee just issued a subpoena to former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn for documents regarding his interactions with Russian officials, CNN reported Wednesday afternoon.
The subpoena comes less than 24 hours after president Donald Trump fired FBI director James Comey who had requested more funds for the expanding Russia investigation. Comey was scheduled to testify before Congress on Thursday. A White House source told reporters that Trump yelled at the TV screen when the news broke.
The lawmakers moved to subpoena Flynn after his lawyer, Robert Kelner, alerted the panel that he would not provide compromising documents in response to their April 28 request, according to the report.
