OMG! Kellyanne Conway Just Dropped Her Biggest Lie Yet On Live TV
Donald Trump’s senior counselor and ‘alternative facts’ enthusiast Kellyanne Conway just tried to put some distance between President Donald Trump and his close campaign advisers who are under investigation for their alleged ties to Russia by dropping a whopping lie on ‘Fox & Friends’ Tuesday.
Addressing the FBI investigation into the Trump administration ties to the Kremlin, Conway said that Carter Page, a former campaign foreign policy adviser, and J.D. Gordon, who served as a national security adviser, were “fringe players” whom Trump doesn’t know personally.
“He doesn’t know these gentlemen. He didn’t work with them,” Conway said.
“I have spoken directly to the president about this, and he says he doesn’t know them,” Conway said.
However, it’s hard to imagine that any truth will come from a liar questioning another liar.
The FBI and two intelligence agencies concluded in January that Russia sought to undermine the November election. Democrats have claimed that Trump’s campaign colluded with Russians to tip the scales in the president’s favor.
On Monday, FBI Director James Comey confirmed that his agency is investigating ties between some of Trump’s associates and the Kremlin.
Page and Gordon are reportedly targets of the investigation, along with former Trump-whisperer Roger Stone.
“In the case of Mr. Page, Mr. Gordon, some others, they really have very attenuated contacts to the campaign that I managed for the last three months,” Conway said.
Stone has confirmed that he exchanged messages during the campaign with a hacker known as ‘Guccifer 2.0’ – who is believed to be a front for Russian intelligence.
The White House said Monday that Paul Manafort, another former Trump campaign official who is reportedly under investigation, was also a minor player in Trump’s run for the White House – despite the fact that he was the campaign manager for five months.
And that’s what I call an attempt to put out a fire with gasoline.
