Moore Fires Back At McConnell: ‘He’s The One Who Should Step Aside’
The growing scandal surrounding Alabama GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore has now turned into an all-out war within the Republican party with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Roy Moore calling for each other to “resign.”
Earlier today, Sen. McConnell (R-Ky.) called for GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore to “step aside” amid the sexual misconduct allegations.
Within minutes, Moore responded to McConnell’s comments saying that McConnell is the one who should do so.
“The person who should step aside is Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. He has failed conservatives and must be replaced,” Moore tweeted on Monday.
