Sen. Rand Paul Accidentally Reveals Why Republicans Won’t Investigate Trump’s Ties To Russia
Before the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton’s emails were worth numerous hearings, subpoenas and probes. So it’s beyond belief that, despite all the evidence provided by U.S. intelligence officials, congressional Republicans refuse to investigate a possible collusion between president Donald Trump and Russia to rig the election.
But Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (R) inadvertently revealed on Tuesday the reason Republicans refuse to investigate the scandal.
Speaking on Fox News’ “Kilmeade and Friends” radio show, Paul said that probing the Trump administration’s ties to Russia after the resignation of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn “makes no sense,” and that Republicans shouldn’t be “wasting time investigating members of their own party.”
“I just don’t think it’s useful to be doing investigation after investigation, particularly of your own party,” he said. “We’ll never even get started with doing the things we need to do like repealing Obamacare if we’re spending our whole time having Republicans investigate Republicans. I think it makes no sense.”
There you have it. Republicans are engaging in a massive cover-up as America is being held hostage by a treasonous president.
