Sean Spicer Came Back To The Press Room With This Ridiculous Excuse For Trump Jr
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer came back to the press room on Monday on an off-screen breifing where he defended Donald Trump’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr., saying that his meeting with the Russian government lawyer was only about adoptions.
Spicer was asked during the briefing about the scandalous emails that revealed Trump Jr. met up with a Russian lawyer because they had dirt on Hillary Clinton.
According to multiple reporters who attended the off-camera briefing, Spicer insisted that the meeting had only been about Magnitsky Act sanctions against Russia.
“There was nothing as far as we know that would lead anyone to believe” they discussed another other than the Magnitsky Act, Spicer reportedly said.
.@PressSec says “there was nothing as far as we know that would lead anyone to believe” that Don Jr. meeting wasn’t about adoption policy.

Spicer believes, or at least he’s forced to believe, that Trump and Trump Jr. can do no wrong and there’s an explanation for their wrongdoings. This time the excuse is quite ridiculous as there is hard evidence as to why Trump Jr. met up with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya
According to The Washington Post:
Emails released this week show that Trump Jr. believed he was meeting with a Russian government lawyer who would provide damaging information about Democrat Hillary Clinton as part of a Russian effort to assist his father’s presidential campaign. He was joined at the meeting by Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, and Paul Manafort, then a top campaign aide — but Trump Jr. said this week that nothing came of the discussion.
President Donald Trump also suggested in a tweet that his son took the meeting to obtain information about Clinton.
