Steve King’s Racist Remarks Against Dreamers Are Ridiculous – WATCH
Republican Rep. Steve King of Iowa has been known for making controversial comments about immigrants. On Wednesday it wasn’t any different.
King spoke with NBC News on Wednesday and told them that DACA recipients “came here to live in the shadows, and we’re not denying them that opportunity to live in the shadows.”
King went on to say that justice will be sending Dreamers back to their country of birth.
“Live in the shadows and if you get crossways with the law, then the law requires they be placed in criminal proceedings and go home,” King said. “I think there’s justice there, but we need to provide justice.”
But surprisingly this wasn’t Kings most controversially racist comment. Back in 2013 King said, “For every one who’s a valedictorian, there’s another hundred out there who weigh 130 pounds, and they’ve got calves the size of cantaloupes because they’re hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert.”
This kind of thinking is what’s wrong in America. King doesn’t seem to accept American values. When will someone break the news to him that America was built by immigrants?
