EPIC: Time’s New Cover Brilliantly Sums Up Trump’s First Year
On its latest cover, Time magazine depicts President Trump screaming with his yellow hair on fire to depict his first year in office.
The cover of Trump’s hair on fire, which was designed by artist Edel Rodriguez, features a caption that reads: “Year One.”
Rodriguez said the flames in Trump’s hair is a reference to author Michael Wolff’s new book, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.”
“We used to live where the United States was a pretty steady country, and now you wake up every day and try to figure out where’s the next fire, where do we have to go, what do we have to try to contain,” Rodriguez said in an interview with Time.
“It’s sort of this president that you’re always trying to contain, like a wildfire that’s moving from one place to the other at all times.”
Rodriguez in 2016 showed then-candidate Trump in “Meltdown” and “Total Meltdown” on Time covers.
Trump attacked Time late last year after the publication denied Trump’s claims that the publication called him to tell him he would “probably” be their “Person of the Year.”
Time responded saying editors do not typically comment on their selection until the publication is released. Trump fired back accusing Time of being “fake news.”
