Trump Lawyers Want Kushner Out Of The White House, Liability To Russia Probe
The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that several of Donald Trump’s lawyer told him this summer that having his son-in-law Jared Kushner working at the White House wasn’t advisable and he should step down from his role.
According to the Journal, many of Trump’s lawyers were concerned that Kushner was a liability to the ongoing Russia investigation.
The report also states that multiple press aides to Trump’s legal team went as far as to draft a statement that explained why Kushner was leaving the White House.
Trump’s head lawyer, John Dowd, disagreed with the other lawyers on Trump’s legal team.
“I didn’t agree with that view at all. I thought it was absurd,” Dowd told The Journal. “I made my views known.”
