As Republicans Continue To Clash Within Their Party Democrats Are Doing This To Get Ready For 2018
Things aren’t going so smooth for Republicans, especially in the Senate. Last month Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell released their version of the Obamacare replacement bill. The bill was quickly criticized by multiple republicans and many said they would not vote for the bill in its current form.
But, that’s just one of many bumps Republicans are facing, the biggest one being the one they elected to run the White House.
Donald Trump has made the GOP’s life basically hell. His constant attack on the media, his lack of knowledge in government, and his unwillingness to focus on the issues that matter could cost Republicans multiple chairs in next year’s midterm elections.
Democrats are also taking advantage of the ruckus going on in the Republican party to get ready for the 2018 midterm election.
According to a CNN report, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) has raised more than $600,000 in the first six months of the year for her Senate colleagues up for reelection in 2018.
Harris has been using her rise to stardom to help her fellow Democrats. And along with her political profile, her email list of potential donors has also grown.
Harris said she is planning to use her fundraiser money from her fall tour to help Democratic incumbents in the Senate, as well as Democrats challenging incumbent Republicans for their House seats.
Harris has become one of the party’s biggest faces, and according to speculation in Washington, she could be a prime contender for the party’s presidential nomination in 2020.
