A Teacher Was Just Caught On Tape Telling Six-Graders Trump Should Deport Their Parents
A Los Angeles teacher has been fired and accused of intimidating students after being caught on tape telling sixth-graders their parents would be deported now that Donald Trump is the President-elect.
The audio recording of the exchange captured by a student’s cell phone is now under review by the Los Angeles Unified School District. The conversation occurred a day after business mogul Donald Trump defeated former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the race for president.
The rise of Donald Trump’s bewildering victory brings along with it the rabid supporters believe in his rhetoric of division and hatred. An example of this disgusting behavior, unfortunately, became public record after the teacher was caught threatening students with deportation in the wake of Tuesday’s presidential election.
The deplorable scene was captured at Bret Harte Middle School in South Los Angeles by a student who used her cell phone to capture the substitute teacher berating an 11-year-old student.
“If you were born here, then your parents got to go. Then they will leave you behind, and you will be in foster care,” the teacher said.
The heartless teacher then went farther over the line he already crossed by frightening the young student, telling them he knew where the student lived while implying they would give the information to Trump’s administration:
“I have your phone numbers, your address, your mama’s address, your daddy’s address. It’s all in the system, sweetie.”
After both of the student’s parents confronted the school administration with the evidence, the substitute teacher was reportedly fired. LAUSD officials said they declined to comment on pending an ongoing investigation.
This kind of evil behavior is unacceptable. Sadly, Trump’s rise to the White House and the hateful rhetoric he used to achieve that feat will continue to poison our society and bring serious consequences for the American people. Those who supported Donald Trump see his victory as their opportunity to behave despicably and out in the open, without fear of repercussion.
