William McRaven is a national hero, he’s a retired four-star admiral that led the team that killed Osama Bin Laden. Now, according to Defense News, McRaven has decided to resign from his post at the Pentagon’s technology advisory board just four days after bashing Donald Trump in a scathing Washington Post op-ed.
McRaven called out Trump in an op-ed in The Post after the president had revoked the security clearance of former CIA director John Brennan’s.
The retired admiral said that it would be an “honor” if Trump revoked his security clearance.
“I would consider it an honor if you would revoke my security clearance as well, so I can add my name to the list of men and women who have spoken up against your presidency,” he wrote.
