After 21 Years In Congress, Another GOP Lawmaker Calls It Quits Amid Trump Presidency


Rep. Greg Walden (R-OR), who has served in Congress since 1998, announced on Monday that he will not be seeking reelection next year.

According to Politico, Walden said he was confident he could win another term but ultimately decided to leave Congress when his term is up in January 2021.

Walden’s retirement marks the 17th House Republican member to announce their departure in this election cycle.
