Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones was arrested on Monday night in Travis County, Texas after police officers noticed he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to the Travis County sheriff’s office, Jones was booked at 12:37 a.m. His bail was set at $3,000 but he was released on bond at 4:11 a.m.
Jones spoke to his listeners on Tuesday and said that he was wrongfully charged and blamed the arrest on a hot tub.
Jones showed some paperwork showing he was tested at just under .08 — in Texas you can still be charged with operating while intoxicated if you are under the limit but still impaired. Jones blamed his arrest on the fact he was in a hot tub earlier in the evening.
