The nomination of Donald Trump as the GOP presidential candidate has resulted in the most disturbing election season in American History. Naturally, several prominent magazines have dedicated its covers to the reality TV star’s unlikely rise to the top of the Republican party. But the most brilliant cover may have just arrived from a Mexican culture magazine.
The famed magazine ‘Letras Libres’ featured a magnified image of the presidential candidate with two simple words, “Fascista Americano” (American Fascist). The description appears to be presented to form the shape of a Hitler mustache.
Trump has vowed to build a wall along the US-Mexico border to stop Mexican immigrants, who he has called rapists and criminals, from entering the United States.
“Donald Trump is a sociopath drunk on himself,” Historian Enrique Krauze, the magazine’s founder and editor, wrote in Slate earlier this month. “His religion is hatred. His god is Donald Trump. He is also addicted to empty adjectives. He is not a man of his word or of words as markers of truth.”
