Donald Trump may have been acquitted of two articles of impeachment on Wednesday, but Americans do not believe he is innocent. In fact, the hashtag “AmericansFindTrumpGuilty has started trending all over Twitter.
Republicans argued during the impeachment trial that Americans will ultimately decide if Trump should be in office or not. And it seems to be that the majority of Americans want him out of there.
Here are some of the best tweets:
“I do believe he should be removed from office, that’s the vote that I will take.” Mitt Romney in Fox News interview right now. #AmericansFindTrumpGuilty

Although #AmericansFindTrumpGuilty, only ONE Republican found Trump guilty of abuse of power: Mitt Romney.
It's an ugly day for America when the GOP denies reality to keep their guy in the White House. pic.twitter.com/0vAoIffboT

Hold a "trial". Don't allow witnesses. Acquit. The Senate is officially a joke. pic.twitter.com/NysTkQoaR3— Martin Van Ruin (@van_ruin) February 5, 2020
American people understand the trial was a sham.
American people know 52 cowardly Republicans are terrified of Trump & his cult.
American people know 45 Democrats, 2 Independents, & 1 Republican are upholding their oath to the Constitution. #AmericansFindTrumpGuilty

#AmericansFindTrumpGuilty. You know it. The House knows it. The Senate knows it. And most of all, Trump knows it.

Many people are saying I am GUILTY of High Crimes and Misdemeanors but thankfully the Republican Senators who took campaign donations from Russia and a few small bribes from my attorneys (while I threatened to destroy them) see things differently! #AmericansFindTrumpGuilty

And these are the Republican senators who aided and abetted Trump in his crimes. VOTE THEM OUT! They are corrupt. pic.twitter.com/wOysQ9o4WQ

As expected, Republican Senators acquitted Trump and sold out America.
The actions of the president are arguably the most egregious in history, and yet history will remember who stood on the side of fascism. #ImpeachedPresident #AmericansFindTrumpGuilty

Trump has been found guilty by a majority of the American people, by a majority of Congress and by the US Gov’t itself. No sham verdict from a fake trial will ever change the fact the American people have found Trump guilty. Trump is impeached forever. #AmericansFindTrumpGuilty

Let’s impeach him again. God knows he’s committed enough crimes. #AmericansFindTrumpGuilty

No witnesses – No Docs. This is not a win – it’s a coverup.
Republicans knew if they allowed witnesses & Docs it would lead to Pence and others. Then what? President Pelosi. #AmericansFindTrumpGuilty

Ripping up Trump's speech was a symbolic act of defiance from the Democrat's true leader, Nancy Pelosi. Speaking for all of us in a poignant moment of symbolism she said Trump is no longer our President. #AmericansFindTrumpGuilty

The Senate just voted to acquit Donald Trump because, apparently, America isn’t worth fighting for… A 5-year-old is brandishing a stick and a bunch of adults are afraid of him… Pathetic shit stains on our democracy… corrupt and cowardly motherfuckers… #ImpeachedPresident
— Cyrus McQueen (@CyrusMMcQueen) February 5, 2020
Trump abused his Presidency to cheat and force a foreign country to interfere in our US elections. He is open to foreign interference based on his own admissions. He will of course do it again. Republicans allowed all of it. He will always be an #ImpeachedPresident.

This isn’t a dark day. It’s a bright day because the strongest light possible has been shone upon the dark vermin that have infested and twisted our government. We see you now in all your hideous miserable corruption. We see you.#ImpeachedPresident

Totally a tweet by a democratically elected President and not a wannabe authoritarian. Don't take him literally or seriously. Let's "both sides" this to the end of our democracy please.
That being said, you know who was never an #ImpeachedPresident? Barack Obama, a black man. https://t.co/BdJWsE0d4R

And with this #ImpeachmentVote the Constitution has officially been permanently damaged by all but one (Romney) Republican Senators. Trump is still forever an #ImpeachedPresident but this is a shameful time in American History. #AmericansFindTrumpGuilty
