Republican Senator Lindsey Graham is facing a fierce backlash with people demanding his resignation after he defended the Trump family again by continued his effort to stonewall any criminal investigation into the president and his family.
But within hours of the Democratic Coalition asking Twitter users to use #LindseyGrahamResign in tweets, calls for the South Carolina Republican senator to step down became the top trend on the social media platform.
Graham has been under fire for advising Donald Trump Jr. to ignore a Congressional subpoena and plea the 5th, which has led many to accuse the senator of advocating breaking the law.
As one Twitter user put it, “Lindsey’s moral compass was buried with John McCain. “
