President Donald Trump’s daughter and adviser, Ivanka Trump, was blasted online for a tweet she posted Thursday to commemorate Black History Month.
Ms Trump tweeted that “during #BlackHistoryMonth, we celebrate heroes like Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who were sojourners for freedom”.
The message that was not well received by social media users.
Most Twitter users suggested that she pass the message on to her father, who has been accused of being racist. Others questioned why she used the term “all Americans” when referring to Black History Month.
Here’s her tweet and some of the responses below:
During #BlackHistoryMonth, we celebrate heroes like Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who were sojourners for freedom – and we resolve to continue to bring greater equality, dignity, and opportunity to all Americans, regardless of race or background.

Did Ivanka just make #BlackHistoryMonth about ALL Americans? What is wrong with her? Plus, did she use "sojourners" in the correct context 🤔

OMG! I was about to say that! Leave it to the Trumps to find a way to take any focus away from a minority. Next they will say Blacks are doing so good, they no longer need a month of acknowledgment.

LOLOLOLOL😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I'm sure you are resolved to bringing equality to all Americans "on both sides." WHY do you even bother tweeting this… work on your Dad and his administration's horrific racism, then… get back to us.

Are you serious? Do you know who your dad is? I’m interested in what you’ll say when it’s Hispanic heritage month.
