Arrest Warrant Issued Against GOP Candidate Challenging Ilham Omar Over Shoplifting Charges
A warrant for the arrest of Republican candidate Danielle Stella has been issued after she missed her court hearing on Tuesday morning, City Pages reports. Stella, who has been arrested twice for shoplifting, is challenging Rep. Ilhan Omar.
According to the report, Stella was supposed to answer to charges that she had attempted to shoplift a few thousand dollars’ worth of merchandise from an Edina Target.
She told police she couldn’t remember what had happened in the store due to her post-traumatic stress disorder, according to court documents.
Stella has promised in various interviews that she would get all of this sorted out in court and come out innocent on the other side. But the courthouse waited hours for Stella to “show up,” with no luck.
