Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, which he refers to as his “Southern White House,” is now looking to hire nearly 100 foreign workers for the upcoming winter season.
On Tuesday, the resort requested federal permission to hire an additional 38 temporary foreign workers, which brings the total to 78 foreign workers gearing up to work in the winter season.
Trump ran his presidential campaign attacking immigrants, claiming that they’re taking jobs from American citizens. But leave it to him to hire foreign workers to save a couple bucks.
According to the Labor Department’s date first obtained by The Washington Post, the Palm Beach resort submitted applications to hire 21 cooks and 17 housekeepers on H-2B visas, which adds to the 40 waiters and waitresses they requested last week.
