As Trump Colludes With Russia In Plain Sight, These 14 States Can’t Guarantee Accurate Election Results
Let’s face it: Donald Trump’s political strategy depends on Russia, and that’s why he’s done nothing about its election meddling.
The American people do not need criminally damning evidence that President Donald Trump colluded with the Russians. Americans don’t need to hang on every word coming out of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation to know that Trump is neck-deep in the Russia mud. They know everything it needs to know.
The Russian government helped Trump win in 2016 and it will try helping congressional Republicans win in November. The Russians are waging a cyberwar against the United States, but the president does nothing. Doing nothing helps ensure the Republicans win. What’s good for the GOP is good for Russia, not America.
The president has not ordered the national security apparatus of the United States to “focus on” or even “disrupt” Russia’s ongoing cyberwar in order to protect the Republican Party’s majority in the U.S. Congress.
The Russians waged a cyberwar in 2016 to help Trump win. They succeeded. The president has not ordered any form of retaliation, because in doing nothing, he improves his chances in November. The president is trading off national security for political gain.
Now, a new bombshell report has revealed that multiple states lack the ability to guarantee the accuracy of election outcomes in the event of a suspected breach by Russian operatives.
According to Axios, fourteen states — Louisiana, Georgia, Texas, South Carolina, New Jersey, Kansas, Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and Delaware — have no paper trails of votes.
Russia is likely hacking again this year, according to intelligence directors. And a hacker who wanted to insert doubt in the outcome of an election would just have to target the counties and states that lack 100% verification capabilities.
So why is the president not ordering a counter-strike? Easy. Because Trump’s political strategy depends on Russian operatives.
This is out in the open. No need to make it more complex. President Trump is abdicating the responsibility of all presidents: national defense. If that alone doesn’t justify impeachment, nothing does.
The Russians waged a cyberwar in 2016 to help Trump win. They succeeded. The president has not ordered any form of retaliation, because in doing nothing, he improves his chances in November. The president is trading off national security for political gain. If these are not legitimate grounds for impeachment, nothing is.
