Bernie Sanders Just Sent A Dire Warning To Trump After He Fired Sessions
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) reminded Donald Trump on Wednesday that he doesn’t have the power he believes he has and intervening in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
Sanders’ warning came as news broke out that Trump had fired now-former attorney general Jeff Sessions.
“President Trump must allow Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation to continue unimpeded. Any attempt by the president or the Justice Department to interfere with Mueller’s probe would be an obstruction of justice and impeachable offense.”

Trump had expressed his anger towards Sessions after he recused himself from the ongoing Russia investigation, which left Rod Rosenstein to oversight the investigation. The Justice Department released a statement on Wednesday saying that Matthew Whitaker would serve as acting attorney general, including taking oversight of Mueller’s probe.
Trump was questioned about the Mueller investigation during Wednesday’s press conference, where he said:
“I could fire everybody right now, but I don’t want to stop it because, politically, I don’t like stopping it,” Trump said.
“I let it just go on,” he added. “They’re wasting a lot of money, but I let it go on because I don’t want to do that.”
“It’s a disgrace, frankly, and it’s an embarrassment to our country.”
