Beto O’Rourke Just Broke Another Record And It’s Bad News For Republicans

Democratic U.S. Representative Beto O’Rourke’s has drawn national attention as he looks forward to unseating Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz from his Texas seat. And he’s going on a terrific path as he has seen a major financial boost in the third quarter when he said he raised $38.1 million, a record for any U.S. Senate race.
What’s more incredible is that O’Rourke has outraised his Republican opponent by more than three times as much without accepting money from any Super PACs.
“O’Rourke, unlike any other Democrat in Texas in a very long time, is going to have all the money he needs to make his case,” said Cal Jillson, a political science professor at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, in a phone interview.
O’Rourke took to Twitter to thank more than 800,000 donors who helped him achieve the goal.
He said in the video: “It’s going to give us the resources we need to finish this campaign as strong as we possibly can.”
You just raised a record-breaking $38.1 million in three months. From 802,836 contributions. No PACs, no special interests, no corporations. All people, all the time, everywhere, every single day. pic.twitter.com/IDMFNFwezB
