Bill Barr Wants To Interrogate CIA Agents For Being Too Mean To Trump
A new report revealed on Wednesday that Attorney General William Barr has made it his top priority to investigate any and all of Donald Trump’s critics.
According to the New York Times, Barr has directed the Justice Department to look into the practices of the Central Intelligence Agency.
The report states that Barr ordered John Durham, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut, to oversee the interviewing of CIA agents.
Barr’s investigation has “provoked anxiety” at the agency, and “senior agency officials have questioned why the C.I.A.’s analytical work should be subjected to a federal prosecutor’s scrutiny.”
The CIA is not responsible for investigating Americans, and as a rule, refers domestic matters to the FBI if necessary.
But Barr has already made it clear that he believes U.S. intelligence spied on Trump and has even suggested that Trump had a right to try to shut down the investigation because it made him angry.
