Special counsel Robert Mueller has just received information on Trump campaign associates from the IRS, according to a new report.
According to CNN, the IRS provided documents to Mueller’s office that include 11 years of files to investigate possible financial crimes. This includes information on former campaign manager Paul Manafort and former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
Mueller’s team is restricted certain information due to Title 26 US Code. But the team did receive documents that provided tax return-related information, such as real estate and banking records.
What the report didn’t make clear was if the documents received by Mueller’s office included copies of Donald Trump’s tax returns.
