British Prime Minister Theresa May was displeased with Donald Trump’s tweet on Friday that suggested that the suspects in a London terrorist attack were “in the sights” of London’s Metropolitan Police. The Prime Minister let Trump know how she felt.
On Friday, following a bombing on a London train, Trump tweeted out:
“Another attack in London by a loser terrorist. These are sick and demented people who were in the sights of Scotland Yard. Must be proactive!”

At the time of Trump’s tweet, the police had not yet arrested nor identified any suspects. May said during an interview that the speculation was not helpful during an ongoing investigation.
“I never think it’s helpful for anybody to speculate on what is an ongoing investigation,” she said.
According to a Bloomberg report, May expressed her displease with Donald Trump’s remarks to the U.S. President himself.
This isn’t the first time May fumes out at Trump. Back in May the British Prime Minister lashed out at Trump after U.S. media published leaked information about a British police investigation into the bombing of the Manchester Arena.
New information revealed Saturday says that an 18-year-old man was arrested in connection with the attack, but it is still uncertain what role he had in the attack.
