During a short press conference Friday, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton forcefully called for the FBI to release “all the information it has” about its review of newly discovered emails that may be relevant to the bureau’s investigation of her private server.
Clinton said that “the American people deserve to get the full and complete facts immediately” and called on FBI director James Comey to publicly disclose more details.
Clinton, who noted that the FBI’s announcement comes 11 days before the election, said she didn’t know what was on the messages. But she said she was “confident whatever the emails are will not change the conclusion reached in July,” referring to the FBI’s recommendation to not pursue criminal charges in the matter.
Clinton was asked about one device belonging to Huma Abedin being the source of some of these new emails. Clinton said, “We’ve heard these rumors, we don’t know what to believe.”
But as for the emails’ content, Clinton said, “Right now, your guess is as good as mine, and I don’t think that’s good enough.”
