Cop Gets Charged After Body Cam Footage Captures Him Brutally Beating Unarmed Man – Watch:
Albany Police Officer Luke Deer is now facing assault charges after a body camera footage showed him senselessly beating an unarmed man to the floor even after he was handcuffed.
The local ABC affiliate News 10 reported that Deer now faces felony assault charges after body camera footage showed him shoving a 27-year-old man named Armando Sanchez to the ground then hitting him repeatedly in the head.
According to the report, Deer and several other police officers were responding to a noise complaint at a home on First Street in Albany, New York.
When the police got to the home, the people inside refused to let them in, prompting the officers to kick the door open.
Shortly after an altercation took place in the front yard of the home, Sanchez stood in the middle of the street with his hands in the air. That’s when Deer shoved him to the ground — and when Sanchez stood up, Deer punched him in the face several times.
The report states that Deer and two other officers who were at the scene have now been suspended without pay.
