Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings has grown tired of Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress offering “thoughts and prayers” after every mass shooting and not taking action to prevent another one from happening.
On Friday, following the tragic mass shooting that took place in Santa Fe high school in Houston, Texas, Rawlings called out Trump and Republicans in Congress.
Rawlings posted a statement on “the latest mass murder of American children.”
“I renew my call for Congress and the president to take substantive action on the mass shooting epidemic in our country,” Mayor Rawlings wrote.
“History will not look kindly upon those elected officials who failed to act in the face of repeated mass murders of our children,” he continued.
“Spare us your thoughts and prayers and do your job,” Rawlings concluded.
