Death Threats To Reporters Already Starting After Trump’s Violent Tweet: Report
Donald Trump’s unhinged attacks on the media are morphing from recklessly irresponsible to flat out dangerous. Less than 24 hours after the erratic President tweeted a doctored video showing Trump violently body slamming and punching a man with a CNN logo over his face —insinuating violence against the press—, a news outlet has reported receiving death threats from a Trump supporter for covering the tweet.
“Today, we received a death threat from one of our readers, IR.Net wrote. It read: “we should just kill you… stupid presstitutes… F**k you!!”
Take a look at a screenshot of the email below:
According to the website, the email was sent to IR.net anonymously, using an Austrian service called “Mixmaster” which sends messages in fixed-size packets and then reorders them. This email is completely untraceable. IR.Net, however, published a copy of the original email.
As the website points out, “email threats online are not uncommon, but the fact that this was sent to us less than 24 hours after Trump sent a tweet inciting violence against the media, only furthers our point that Trump’s actions on Twitter should not be taken lightly.”
Donald Trump needs to take responsibility for his words, as his words are more likely to incite action than anyone else’s.
