Congressman Ted Lieu shared a few words with Donald Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner on Sunday.
Lieu took to Twitter to send Kushner a message. The tweet read:
“Dear Jared: I have been told that Siberia, Russia has lovely weather this time of the year. You can backpack and back-channel all you want.”

The Congressman’s message comes in response to reports that Kushner is under pressure to take a leave of absence from the White House amid allegations that he tried to set up a direct back-channel line of communication between Moscow and the Trump transition team.
Lieu has also called for Kushner to be persecuted for failing to reveal three contacts with Russian officials during his security clearance.
Kushner is now one of multiple people in the Trump administration that are under the FBI’s investigation into Russia.
