Dems Could Pick Up Another Senate Seat As Sinema Pulls Ahead Of McSally In Arizona Race: Report
As more votes are counted in the race for Senate in Arizona, Democrat Kyrsten Sinema has taken the lead for the first time since election night and is holding a lead of fewer than 2,000 votes on Republican Martha McSally.
According to a report by local news station KGUN9, if the two candidates are within a .1 percent margin, Arizona law says there would be an automatic recount.
The race is still up in the air as hundreds of thousands of ballots remain to be counted. But Sinema is on the rise as she keeps gaining momentum.
According to KGUN9, “An official with the Arizona Secretary of State’s office says the latest batch of about 130,000 ballots came from Maricopa County, leaving about 350,000 still to be counted. Kyrsten Sinema has a slight lead in that county so far.”
The race is a nailbiter.
