Desperate Republicans Now Accusing Obama Of Orchestrating Trump-Russia Scandal, Call For Investigation
As Special Counsel Robert Mueller closes in on Trump, desperate Republicans decided that this is the best time to play the Obama card.
Running out of ideas on how to save Trump for being indicted, House Republicans are now demanding that President Obama is investigated in the Russia scandal because he is the one who was “behind the conspiracy to get Donald Trump.”
This is not surprising. For a decade now, when Republicans are in trouble and spinning their wheels their go-to move has been to blame Obama, and that’s exactly what Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) did during an appearance on Fox And Friends Wednesday.
After putting up a cherry-picked text from FBI agents in classic Fox News fashion, Steve Doocy asked Gohmert, “What does that mean to you?”
Gohmert answered, “Well, you know, it means the president wants to know what they’re doing to stop Trump because that’s clearly from all the other text messages, that’s what they were working on that’s what they cared about and so you know we need to find out. We can’t be like the FISA court. We’ve gotta find out, actually have the facts. We need to get to the bottom of this and find what the president knew and when he knew it.
Watch, take a deep breath, and you smell the Republican desperation.
Of course, there are no facts to support any of these claims. House Republicans have nothing. The Nunes memo was a bust, so it is time for them to try to distract the country and get media attention by adding an Obama wrinkle to the conspiracy.
The Russia scandal is bound to explode and dominate national news. Robert Mueller is getting closer to Trump each day, so Republicans are trying to deflect by adding Obama to their story.
It’s not going to work.
