Desperate Times Call For Desperate Measures: Ryan Actually Did THIS To Gain Obamacare Repeal Vote

Republicans have been wanting to get rid of the Affordable Care Act since it was passed in 2010. In a desperate attempt they introduced the American Health Care Act, which quickly showed little promise. Both Republicans and Democrats alike did not side with the new proposed bill.

In a desperate attempt to gain votes, Paul Ryan got down on one knee to plead with Rep. Don Young of Alaska – the longest-serving Republican in Congress — to support the bill, according to The Washington Post.

Of course Ryan was unsuccessful in doing so.

As the day got closer to voting for the new healthcare law, optimism in the Republican part was diminishing.

Paul Ryan did seem hopeful, even the day before voting was to take place.

“For seven and a half years we have been promising the American people that we will repeal and replace this broken law, because it’s collapsing and it’s failing families,” Ryan said. “And tomorrow we’re proceeding.”

Ultimately, Ryan accepted the inevitable and decided to call off the voting. The AHCA was a disaster and it crumbled just as fast as it was introduced.
