President Donald Trump unleashed a late-night Twitter rant suggesting he’ll ‘cure’ coronavirus crisis by sending America back to work and Twitter and now he’s being dragged him all over the internet.
At ten minutes to midnight on Sunday, Trump fired off a disturbing all-caps Twitter rant that suggests his “plan” to cure the coronavirus crisis will be to send everyone back to work, thus likely killing millions.
“WE CANNOT LET THE CURE BE WORSE THAN THE PROBLEM ITSELF,” Trump actually tweeted, proving he values profits over people and saying clearly that if people have to die so the economy can get better than so be it.
“AT THE END OF THE 15 DAY PERIOD, WE WILL MAKE A DECISION AS TO WHICH WAY WE WANT TO GO!” he added.
Trump’s tweet is not surprising, given his recent statements on the coronavirus pandemic.
On March 5, barely more than two weeks ago, Trump lied about what medical experts were saying while he tried to minimize the lethality of COVID-19. The President falsely suggested to Americans it is not dangerous to report to work as normal if they have the deadly coronavirus – and even went so far as to say going back to work will make people get better.
“So we have thousands or hundreds of thousands of people that just get better, by, you know, sitting around and even going to work,” Trump lied.
Of course, thousands of people did not recover from the deadly coronavirus by “going to work.”
Twitter users were quick to respond:
WE CANNOT LET THE CURE BE WORSE THAN THE PROBLEM ITSELF. AT THE END OF THE 15 DAY PERIOD, WE WILL MAKE A DECISION AS TO WHICH WAY WE WANT TO GO!

Your all caps, nonsensical word salads can't distract from the fact that you suppressed information, declined test kits, lied repeatedly, and are putting millions in danger because you lack empathy and you don't know what you're doing.
Go fact yourself.https://t.co/YIC3z38VUw

Are any of us surprised by his diabolical lunacy? This is the same man we saw come down the escalator. Mexicans are criminals & rapists, publicly humiliating a disabled person, Chinese virus. he was NEVER going to have the capacity, morally or cognitively, to get us through this.

Imagine being this proud of most likely getting everyone killed.
But we here are.

It’s midnight in Washington. Go to fucking bed and stop tweeting. These kind of tweets only add to the fear, confusion & uncertainty of this moment.

YOU ARE INSANE.

Translation: Trump cares about the Dow Jones Industrial Average and his re-election chances more than he cares about the lives of the American people.

Are you unaware that this virus spreads BEFORE YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS? That's why this isn't like other viruses we've dealt with. Pay attention and stop being idiotic.
So no, it won't work to stay away when sick—even people who think they're virus-free will spread it—like Rand Paul.

Nobody trusts you. You’re in over your head. You’re an inept, incompetent buffoon. You have no idea what we’re going to do at the end of 15 days. Do America a favor, RESIGN. https://t.co/h7Fr4VbiWH
