Did Sessions Just Interfere In The Russia Investigation?

Attorney General Jeff Sessions had recused himself from the Russia investigation earlier this year, but that didn’t stop him from interfering in it during a radio interview with Sean Hannity.

Session’s recusal means he can’t speak in favor of or against the Trump campaign when it comes to the Russia investigation. That wasn’t the case on Wednesday.

Sessions said during the interview:

“You know Sean, I’m not able to comment on this investigation. I would say this, that I do feel like often that the actions that are perfectly normal and natural are being projected by the media in lights that are just not justifiable, and it’s really painful to see that happening, and good people, a lot of them have had things said in ways that are not good. I can’t comment on the details of the matter, Sean.”

Sessions started the conversation the right way when he said he couldn’t comment on the investigation, but then he went on to speak about the investigation by defending everything the campaign did as totally innocent.
