Don Jr Just Took A Step Closer To Prison
Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., is in the eyesight of House Democrats who are now claiming would be the first one to be subpoenaed in a new investigation into Russia’s interference in the U.S. elections.
According to the Washington Examiner, Rep. Jackie Speier, a top House Democrat from California, was asked during a speech on Tuesday night who would be the first person to be subpoenaed as part of the new investigation.
“You’ll understand why I say this: Donald Trump, Jr.,” the Congresswoman answered. “There are a number of persons that testified before the committee that I feel were not telling the truth.”
Many believe Trump Jr. is the key to proving that the infamous Trump Tower meeting in 2016 is evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.
According to Speier, Republicans had refused to subpoena documents from Trump Jr. during the initial investigation. But now that Democrats have the majority, they will not hold back. They are going after Trump Jr.
