Donald Trump spent his entire presidential campaign promising his supporters that he would build a wall along the southern U.S. border and that Mexico would be the one paying for it.
Over time, the narrative changed. He would claim that Congress would be the one funding the wall and that it will definitely get built. Eventually, Trump’s failure to build a wall led to the longest government shutdown in history.
Trump decided to blame just about every Democrat for his failures. But we all know he had control of the House, the Senate, and the White House and didn’t get his wall built.
So on Tuesday, Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., took to Twitter to blame someone else for the wall not getting built.
Trump Jr. blamed former Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan but his attempt to defend his dad backfired.
Trump Jr. tweeted:
