Don Lemon Can’t Stop Laughing As He Plays Montage Of Trump’s Legal Team Absurd Claims
On Monday night, CNN anchor Don Lemon couldn’t help but laugh as he played a montage of Donald Trump’s legal team making absurd claims in their effort to defend the president from special counsel Robert Muller’s Russia probe.
In one clip, Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani said, “facts are in the eyes of the beholder.”
Throughout his opening segment, Lemon could barely believe what he was hearing and couldn’t hold his laughter.
“Facts are facts. Facts are not in the eye of the beholder,” Lemon said.
“This is an administration that has tried to distract and deflect from the facts literally from day one. When then-press secretary Sean Spicer, remember, tried to claim that President Trump’s inauguration crowd was the largest ever,” Lemon said.
He added, “You can’t make this stuff up.”
“All of this coming from a president who lies on a daily basis. According to our friends at The Washington Post, President Trump has made well over 4,200 false or misleading claims in his presidency so far. An average of 706 per day.”
President Trump also told a crowd at the VFW Convention in Kansa City to not believe what they see or hear.
“Stick with us. Don’t believe the crap you see from these people, the fake news. What you’re seeing and what you’re reading is not what’s happening,” President Trump said during the convention.
“President Trump wants you to believe that facts are fungible. He wants you to believe that truth is something you choose,” Lemon said.
