Trump Appears To Be Rooting For Justice Ginsburg To Die, And He Already Has a Replacement
President Donald Trump would just love it if a powerful, outspoken woman got out of his way. So he’s now predicting that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will die soon and has reportedly said he is “saving” Judge Amy Barrett of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit to replace Ginsburg on the Supreme Court, according to Axios.
Barrett was a popular choice among conservative activists as a candidate to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy before Trump eventually nominated Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Axios reported that Trump has made clear his desire to replace Ginsburg with Barrett, telling people on separate occasions, “I’m saving her for Ginsburg.”
Frankly, this reads more like the president’s wish list of things he wants to happen. Fortunately, unlike healthcare, he can’t really sign an executive order to force anyone’s hand.
Ginsburg, 86, recently returned to the bench after missing a series of cases in January because of cancer surgery last December.
Listen, while Justice Ginsburg is an elderly woman whose age is clearly wearing on her, her workout regimen is no joke, so that — plus a lot of prayers and well wishes from the American people — will hopefully be enough to get her to survive this administration.
