Trump’s New Order Will Destroy Our Planet. Sanders’ Viral Response Has The Orange Man Trembling

Donald Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday that repealed the Obama-era Clean Power Plan. This move brought forth a lot of criticism.

Sen. Bernie Sanders was one to speak his mind on Thursday in response to Trump’s new order. He called it “such a nonsensical, and stupid, and dangerous, approach,” when speaking to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. “It’s almost indescribable.”

With the Clean Power Plan there were limits on carbon emissions from power plants, which helped with the fight against global warming. But Trump doesn’t believe in global warming, he thinks it’s a giant hoax.

“While Trump and his friends may think climate change is a hoax, scientists are telling us it is real, it is caused by human activity, and it is already causing devastating problems,” Sanders said.

Trump signed an order on Tuesday – while being surrounded by coal miners and fossil fuel executives – to direct EPA administrator Scott Pruitt to begin the process of scrapping the regulations.

Sanders pointed out that “far more” jobs are being created in sustainable energy than in the fossil fuel industry. Theres even data that backs the Senators claims.

“You have the absurdity of Exxon, the largest oil company in America, telling the president he should not withdraw from the Paris agreement,” Sanders said.

“This is very dangerous, because if the United States does not lead the world in transforming our energy system, I worry very very much about the nation and the world that our kids and our grandchildren will be living in,” he added.

Sanders was asked by Blitzer if he planned on doing anything to stop the president from hurting the planet.

“I think you are seeing states all over this country, cities all over this country, understand how dangerous and absurd his ideas and his actions are, and they’re going to go forward trying to combat climate change,” Sanders said.
