Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, who planned to defund the Special Olympics completely to make room to fund private schools, made her way to Nashville, Tennessee on Monday to meet up with Governor Bill Lee.
But the visit did not go so well for DeVos. On her way to LEAD Cameron, a local charter middle school, protestors met her with chants against her policies.
In the crowd, people were heard chanting: “no voucher bills,” “support public education,” and “don’t bring your scam to Tennessee.”
