‘Don’t Go To Walmart Next Week’: White Supremacist Arrested For Plotting Mass Shooting With AR-15
A potential massacre was adverted after authorities arrested a Florida man who made his intentions clear in a threatening Facebook post, ABC Action News reports.
“3 more days of probation left then I get my AR-15 back. Don’t go to Walmart next week,” white supremacist Richard Clayton, 26, wrote on Facebook, authorities say.
Investigators say he has a history of posting right-wing and neo-nazi propaganda online using fake accounts.
The investigation was a joint effort between FDLE, FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and Winter Park Police Department, according to the report.
Clayton is behind bars at the Orange County Jail. He is charged with sending a written threat to kill.
This comes a week after two mass shootings just hours apart took the lives of dozens of people.
