Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) said during an interview with The Boston Globe that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) seems to have no intentions in talking to her at all.
The newspaper was interviewing Warren about the release of her laters book, “This Fight Is Our Fight,” when she stated that McConnell always brushes her off when she says hello.
“I’ve spoken to him, but he has not spoken to me,” she told the newspaper. “I say hello to Mitch every chance I get, and he turns his head.”
Warrens book is set to hit stores April 18th, which includes the moment she was barred from speaking on the Senate floor by Republicans because of her blistering comments on Jeff Sessions, who was then nominee for attorney general.
McConnell was one of the Republicans that voted for her to be barred saying that she “impugned the motives and conduct of our colleague from Alabama,” referring to Sessions.
“Sen. Warren was giving a lengthy speech. She had appeared to violate the rule. She was warned. She was given an explanation,” he said. “Nevertheless, she persisted.”
Warren’s book ends with moments that took place during the Women’s March.
