Donald Trump has made some irrational decisions throughout his presidency, some of them even raise the question if he’s racist or not.
On Friday Trump decided to pardon Joe Arpaio who had been convicted after racially profiling Latinos in Arizona. This decision came with criticism from both political parties.
One person who spoke out against Trump was House Speaker Paul Ryan.
Ryan’s spokesman Doug Andres spoke with The Wall Street Journal:
“The speaker does not agree with the decision,” Andres told The Journal. “Law-enforcement officials have a special responsibility to respect the rights of everyone in the United States. We should not allow anyone to believe that responsibility is diminished by this pardon.”
Trump’s decision to pardon Arpaio has brought forth fear in many people. Knowing that the president of the United States accepts that kind of behavior raises a lot of concerns.
