On Monday, the Republican-controlled House Intelligence Committee announced that they concluded their investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election and determined that there was “no collusion” between the Kremlin and the Trump campaign.
Former director of National Intelligence James Clapper made an appearance on CNN following the announcement where he called out Republicans for claiming that there was no collusion.
“This is not bipartisan by any stretch,” Clapper told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.
People are “living in their own reality bubbles,” Clapper added, “when we can’t agree on basic facts.”
More from Clapper: he notes IC assessment re Russian intentions was based on range of information including Putin's animus toward Clinton and Putin's belief he could work with Trump
