Ex-Pageant Contestant Calls Out Conway’s Hypocrisy: ‘Why Was Trump In My Dressing Room?’
Kellyanne Conway has become obsessive in the Harvey Weinstein case of sexual harassment by constantly attacking Hillary Clinton for taking too long to condemn the film producer. But what Conway has failed to do is address Donald Trump for his past with sexual harassment.
Donald Trump has had a past of barging into the changing rooms of Miss USA pageant contestants. In 1997, five attendees ranging in age from 15 to 19 came forward to allege that Trump barged into their dressing room while they were changing, and another claimed she saw him staring at her and her fellow “naked” contestants in 2000.
Trump even came out clean about doing so during an interview with Howard Stern in 2005
“No men are anywhere, and I’m allowed to go in, because I’m the owner of the pageant and therefore I’m inspecting it,” Trump said in the leaked audio. “‘Is everyone OK’? You know, they’re standing there with no clothes. ‘Is everybody OK?’ And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that.”
2003’s Miss Ohio USA Candace Smith called out Conway on Twitter on Wednesday.
“Can you ask @KellyannePolls why Trump was even in my dressing room at Miss USA?” the former beauty queen tweeted.
Can you ask @KellyannePolls why Trump was even in my dressing room at Miss USA? I’m just trying to under the purpose
