Ex-Watergate Prosecutor Throws Hannity Under The Bus: He ‘Really Ought To Be Investigated’

Former Watergate prosecutor Nick Ackerman called out Fox News host Sean Hannity while appearing on MSNBC’s The Beat with Ari Melber on Tuesday.

The ex-prosecutor explained that Hannity is most likely trying to cover up a misconduct.

During their interview, Melber showed a clip of Hannity attacking federal prosecutor Andrew Weissmann, a top deputy of special counsel Robert Mueller.

“The things they’re saying are just part of the same pattern of lies that they’ve been perpetrating on the Mueller office every chance they get,” Ackerman concluded. “The closer the office gets to actually the Trump people and to the president himself, the more they’re going to keep attacking.”

“The person that really ought to be investigated is Sean Hannity,” he suggested. “He’s the one who was the person whose name was brought up on the [Michael] Cohen search warrant as a client.”

“There’s no allegation of impropriety for having lawyer,” Melber argued.

“No, but why didn’t he offer himself up as a client if he’s done nothing wrong?” Ackerman asked. “So what is going on with Sean Hannity, when he allows his name to be used as a client and he says he’s not a client?”
